Real time computing system often dedicated to perform a function and embedded as a part of the system is termed as embedded system. Due to properties it possess like low power consumption, smaller size and low cost. Embedded systems structure embedded now a days are based on microcontrollers but this doesn’t make ordinary microprocessor any less in demand.

Embedded systems are everywhere from portable devices to hybrid vehicles & MRI machines. Large installations such as traffic lights, controllers also use embedded as a base which is also a support to large complex systems.
