Commonly used and well known by most users for 2D and 3D designing is the software developed by Autodesk called as AutoCAD. Being the first CAD programs to be executed on personal computers AutoCAD did capture the major market of industrial designers. It was initially derived from a proprietary language called Interact.

Initially when the software was released it had primitive entities as basic shapes and text to construct complex objects which later came to support custom objects through C++ interfacing. The latest version includes complete set tools to design and model, automation and customization. To pursue career in designing AutoCAD is the first step and also the foundation for mastering other CAD software’s.

Engineers : Mechanical, Civil, Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Petroleum, Design Engineers all make use of AutoCAD for fabrication and simulation drawings.
Architecture : Architects use Auto-cad extensively in building design, Autodesk specifically created a version of AutoCAD i.e. AutoCAD Architecture. Any student aspiring to become an architect should attend an AutoCAD training.
Industrial Designer : The job of an industrial designer would be impossible without AutoCAD. Every industrial designer should learn AutoCAD.

Panel designing, wiring diagram, design breaker design.
Civil Engineer in construction field.
Jobs related to CNC 2D cutters, Plasma/ Laser/ Water jet.

AutoCAD has the highest employment and industry demand. Because of its industry standard format, this particular CAD software is used almost in every manufacturing sector. There are plenty jobs in the field of designing and also provides a better future scope.
